Sirene

Mdvanii "photo box"

Early porcelean Mdvanii "Sirene". This was the very very first Mdvanii in porcelain to be shown in Japan. They have legs that were changed for the definitive ones. The fabrics were all Fortuny velvets. Print upon pale blue velvet by Fortuny (Venise,Italy designer of the 1920s), the fabric probably from the 1930s though. The make ups are very much inspired by Bette Davis and Marlene Dietrich...a first for Mdvanii.

  1. With regards to he color photographs, the face doesn't appeal to my taste but I love everything else. With regards to the black and white photograph, I like it! Monsieur Jean-Pierre does such a fantastic job with the makeup and Monsieur BillyBoy* is an amazing technician! He reminds me of Madeleine Vionnet in a way because the technique is so delicate that any incorrect move can ruin the overall look. He has a highly trained eye for Haute Couture sculpture production that appears to be exalted.
